Back in 1907, when Las Vegas was just a sleepy little railroad town, a dairy farmer named Harry Anderson started a dairy farm on a sparsely vegetated piece of land, way out in the countryside, across from what is now University Medical Center on West Charleston Boulevard.
With luck and lots of hard work, Harry succeeded in raising a small herd of 10-15 milking cows. A Las Vegas tradition was born!
During World War II, when gasoline was in short supply, Anderson Dairy did its part for the war effort by removing the engines from our delivery trucks and put horses back into service once again to help with the delivery of milk.

Over
the years, Anderson Dairy had seen many changes, even participated in a few
of them. Many will remember the "nifty fifties," the days of poodle skirts,
jukebox music and soda shops. We were there with our own brand of ice cream
soda shop!

Today, a century later, the principles on which Harry Anderson founded our dairy still prove successful. We'll continue to provide our customers with the finest dairy products, the most dependable service, and a reason to trust in our name.
We believe it’s the way Harry would have wanted it to be. |
